Media job: Multimedia reporter, Evening Telegraph

CLOSING DATE: August 4, 2017

A FANTASTIC opportunity has arisen to join one of the country’s most exciting news teams as a multimedia reporter.

Dundee is THE place to be right now. It’s a city changing by the day, with the £1 billion transformation of the waterfront and the spectacular V&A museum on the way.

The city has a buzzing cultural quarter and busy night-time economy. There is also a lively council — and equally newsworthy sheriff court.

The Evening Telegraph is the leading newspaper in Dundee. A city institution, it has a proud history and an award-winning track record.

We are looking for a reporter who knows how to make and cultivate contacts, can work a patch and dig up exclusives on a daily basis.

Reporting to the newsdesk, you will be expected to write for both print and online and to identify exciting ideas to enhance our digital coverage.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified senior reporter, with 100wpm shorthand and a full UK driving licence.

Attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines are also essential.

This is a full-time position, permanent working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working from our Meadowside office. We offer a generous package including 34 days holiday, health cash plan, onsite staff gym, childcare vouchers, excellent pension, a competitive salary, and many more staff discounts and benefits.
