Media Release: Property networking – Rock n Roll style

WELL, not quite Rock n Roll, but there are certainly a few different musical styles on offer at the Edinburgh Property Jam on Thursday 24th March.

In its third year, the Edinburgh Property Jam gathers together professionals from the world of commercial property to a unique networking event.

There won’t be a black tie or cocktail dress in sight – it’s strictly casual dress when five bands will take to the stage at The Jam House in Queen Street.

“When we first held the Property Jam two years ago, it was strictly business, says organiser, Kate Ballantyne, of fit out, housing and maintenance company Morris & Spottiswood.

“However, it’s such a great night, with such a mix of music and dancing, that now people bring friends, family and even neighbours, so it’s more of a social evening where we can all let our hair down. And it’s for a fantastic cause – Teenage Cancer Trust who help young people fight cancer.”

Carol Anne McMahon, regional fundraising manager for Teenage Cancer Trust, says: “The Edinburgh Property Jam has raised over £6,000 for us over the last couple of years. It’s great to see people having such a great time while supporting our charity.”

As well as Morris & Spottiswood, sponsors for this year’s Jam include Rotary, Lewis and Hickey, Will Rudd Davidson, Wallace Whittle, Build Center, Space Solutions, McKay Flooring Limited, Hardies, Wernick Hire and St George’s School.

The band line up this year includes Six Storeys High, The Apple Beggars, Mr Crow, The Full Bhoona and St George’s School Jazz Band.

The event starts at 7pm till late. Dress code is smart/casual (no trainers).

Don’t miss it – tickets are only £10. Call Kate Ballantyne on 0131 442 6729 or email epj@morrisandspottiswood.co.uk
