Media studies agreement struck between Glasgow and China

STUDENTS from a Chinese university are to be offered the opportunity to study media and communnications in Glasgow for a year.

It follows an agreement struck between Glasgow Caledonian University and the Zhejiang University of Media and Communications in Hangzhou.

Says a statement issued by GCU: “The co-operation and exchange agreement will allow students who have successfully completed three years of undergraduate programmes in advertising, public relations and creative media at Zhejiang to apply for direct entry to the final year of an appropriate full-time Bachelor (Honours) degree programme at GCU, for example BA (Hons) Media and Communication.”

The statement quotes Julian Calvert, Media and Journalism subject leader at GCU, as saying: “We are delighted that the university has signed this agreement with Zhejiang University of Media and Communications. This exciting venture will offer students of both institutions fantastic opportunities to experience the culture of each nation and reflects both GCU and ZUMC’s excellence in media and journalism.”
