Media Release: CKD Galbraith chair announces strengthened rural partnership in Inverness

NEWLY-appointed chair of CKD Galbraith, one of Scotland’s leading independent property consultants, announces a series of strategic promotions within the firm’s Inverness office, further strengthening the partnership.

Iain Russell, (56) chair and head of the firm’s rural business division is based in the firm’s Inverness and Edinburgh office and will work closely with Tim Kirkwood, also based in Inverness, who has been re-elected chief executive by the partners of the firm.

The promotions within the Inverness rural team include Philippa Cliff who has been made a partner, with Claire Acheson becoming an associate and Gordon Brown leading the forestry team also becoming an associate.

Iain Russell said: “I am delighted to be announcing a number of strategic promotions within our Inverness rural division, particularly Philippa Cliff who has become a partner at a young age. We pride ourselves in offering an unrivalled service in the Highland rural market where services focus on farm and estates management and valuation.

“These internal promotions have allowed for continued development within the firm at a time which sees our partnership continue to expand with a new office in the Aberdeen.”

Philippa Cliff (31) has been with the firm for over six years now and is involved in the management of a number of large highland estates where recent projects have included the construction of several hydro-electric schemes and winning a place in the finals of the prestigious Purdey GWCT Conservation Awards. Philippa also undertakes a range of estate management duties across sporting and agricultural estates, is a rural valuation specialist and also an AMC agent for the north.

Philippa said: “It is very exciting to have been made a partner of the firm. I consider myself lucky to do a job that I genuinely enjoy and that allows me to have a role in the management of some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. I’m very much looking forward to the new challenges that Partnership will bring.”

Our forestry team in the Highlands, led by Gordon Brown in Inverness, has been involved in a broad variety of significant projects including clearfelling, re-stocking and development of new forests for clients owning traditional family estates as well as corporate clients with principally commercial interests.

Last year, the firm strengthened its position in the rural sector expanding its farm and estate management services through a merger with Angus and Aberdeen-based farm and agricultural specialists, Hayes Macfarlane.

CKD Galbraith has enjoyed substantial growth over recent years and now employs more than 225 people in 14 offices across Scotland offering an unrivalled breadth and quality of expertise.
