RADIO station, Real Radio Scotland’s reporting of a forthcoming series of TV talent show, the X Factor, is to be carried our by the brother of judge, Simon Cowell.
Tony Cowell, who is older than Simon, will present a twice-weekly bulletin, as X Factor correspondent, into Real Radio’s breakfast shows in Wales, Yorkshire, the North West, and the North East, as well as Scotland.
They will be broadcast on a Friday and Monday, starting a week tomorrow.
Says Real Radio: “Nobody knows Simon better than Tony, who has written a number of books on his older brother, including Cowell’s biography, ‘I Don’t Mean To Be Rude But…’.”
It quotes Tony Cowell, saying: “As a celebrity news journalist, I have covered American Idol for US Radio for the past two years – and it was great fun.
“I’ve always wanted to cover the X Factor and I’m excited about working with Real Radio on this. The X Factor is Britain’s top talent show – and let’s face it – it’s about time radio had a Cowell.”
