THE PR manager at broadcasters, STV, is leaving to join a company set up by her former boss.
Kirstin Stevenson is joining media relations firm, Spreng & Co, which was set up four years ago by former group communications director at SMG plc – now known as STV Group plc – Callum Spreng.
She has been eight years with STV and will be joining along with Debbie Johnston, a former head of communications at SMG plc, who has been working with Spreng and Co for the last two years on a consultancy basis.
Johnston has been appointed a director. She has also worked as a consultant with Spreng & Co’s sister communications consultancy, Liddell Thomson. Stevenson, meanwhile, is joining the business as senior consultant. Prior to joining STV, she was a media relations officer at communications regulator, Ofcom.
Spreng & Co clients include Tennent Caledonian Breweries, Forth Ports, ProStrakan, Macfarlane Group plc and Forth Energy.
Stevenson is joining in July.
