New website launches in praise of lower league football

ON the eve of the new football season for clubs in the divisions immediately below the Scottish Premier League, a new website in praise of the Scottish Football League has been launched, by a post-graduate media student. – inspired by a famous quote by former Partick Thistle manager, John Lambie – has been launched by Craig G. Telfer, studying for a masters degree in multi-media journalism at Glasgow Caledonian University, and his friend, John Maxwell.

The site has been established to provide more extensive coverage of the SFL than is found in the mainstream media. It runs on voluntary effort.

Over the weekend, SFL clubs begin their season, with the Ramsdens Challenge Cup.

Among the features is an 8,000 word essay, by Maxwell, on Queen of the South, which was relegated from the First Division last season.
