Media Job: Media and communications manager – Drink Wise, Age Well

Salary: £32,761 pa

Contract: Permanent post / 37.5 hours per week    

Location: Glasgow city or home working with UK-wide travel

DRINK Wise, Age Well is a Big Lottery-funded programme which aims to help people aged over 50 make healthier choices about their alcohol use as they age.

Led by Addaction, there are 18 strategic and delivery partners UK wide including Royal Voluntary Service, ILC-UK, University of Bedfordshire, Drug and Alcohol Charities Wales and Addiction NI.

Drink Wise, Age Well has big ambitions. We want to change the behaviour of over-50s’ alcohol consumption and promote more active, healthy lifestyles.

This is where you come in.

We’re now looking for a highly-motivated and talented individual who is creative, strategic and results driven to promote the work of Drink Wise, Age Well at a local, regional and national level.

You will oversee all aspects of our communications, marketing and digital strategy, as well a coordinate our stakeholders and partners to deliver our key messages and ensure that we can raise the profile and reputation of our programme to our wide range of target audiences.

The successful candidate must be able to produce high quality proactive and reactive communications to promote and protect the profile and reputation of Drink Wise, Age Well.

He/she will also have experience in media influencing, digital communications, developing marketing messages and event planning, as well as line manage the digital officer.
