AN exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced political reporter to lead Westminster coverage for readers of The Press and Journal, the UK’s biggest-selling regional newspaper.

Based in the House of Commons press gallery, at the sharp end of a momentous period for current affairs, you will be fully in tune with what matters most to the north and northeast of Scotland.

The successful candidate will be as comfortable making contacts and breaking exclusive stories as providing in-depth insight and analysis for our print and online editions.

A thirst for politics at all levels, the skill to quickly identify the heart of a complex situation and the flair to communicate it in an accessible way are also essential.
