Media job: Crime reporter, The Digger

THE Digger magazine is looking for a crime reporter who can break news stories and is familiar with carrying out investigations.

This is a Glasgow-based position working from a smart city centre office. Must have relevant experience and a driving license.

This is a position for someone who can dig up stories on their own and cultivate contacts in the underworld.

Understanding the law of defamation is important. The job carries an expense account and access to vehicles. Being able to use a camera is helpful.

The Digger started up in 2004 and set up its own distribution system. We have a readership around 15,000 and is widely read in Lanarkshire and further afield. There is no advertising in the magazine. Competitive salary (£30,000), 28 days holidays and pension scheme.
