Media job: Assistant editor, Aberdeen Journals

ABERDEEN Journals is looking for an assistant editor to work with our senior teams to drive the development of our newspaper titles and associated brands.

The successful individual will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Evening Express as well as supporting The Press and Journal management team and wider Aberdeen business as required, including commercial, sponsorship and content partnerships, brand extensions and new product launches.

With an industry-recognised qualification, you must have proven editorial experience at a senior level and have a detailed knowledge of IPSO guidelines, the Editors’ Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.

You will also have a strong print and digital background, working knowledge of content management systems, web analytics tools and social media monitoring platforms.
