Education manager – Mary’s Meals

CLOSING DATE: July 12, 2013

MARY’S Meals is a fast-growing international charity, currently providing over 750,000 hungry and impoverished children in 16 developing countries with a daily school meal.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising UK, the successful applicant will utilise their considerable creative abilities and strong aptitude for strategic planning to bring the inspiring message of Mary’s Meals to schools, colleges, universities, local authorities and other education-related organisations across the UK.

Charged with raising awareness of the simple approach of Mary’s Meals in lifting children in the developing world out of poverty, the Education Manager is responsible for implementing the charity’s fundraising strategy in an educational context, thereby maximising this area as a source of income.

The Education Manager will develop a thriving and formidable network of schools volunteers across the UK, capable of converting the significant potential for growth in schools support into tangible results.

A person who is self-motivated and able to work independently, with excellent communication, organisation, prioritisation and time management skills is essential.

By contributing to the work of Mary’s Meals, the successful candidate will become part of a worldwide movement of people who will not accept that any child in this world of plenty should endure a day without a meal.
