Public affairs co-ordinator – Scottish Youth Parliament

CLOSING DATE: September 9, 2013

THE Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratically elected voice of Scotland’s young people. Our key responsibility is to campaign on the issues which matter most to Scotland’s young people, ensuring young Scots are listened to by Scotland’s leaders.

In March 2013, the Scottish Youth Parliament held elections across all 32 Local Authorities. Over a two-week election period a total of 67,071 young people voted – enough to fill Scotland’s biggest stadium Murrayfield, electing 160 Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs).

These new MSYPs will now represent Scotland’s young people until 2015, over one of the most fascinating times to be involved in political life in Scotland.  If you want to join a passionate, committed and ambitious organisation based in Edinburgh, please have a look at the SYP website for further details.
