SALARY: Grade 5/6 £34,223 – £44,607

We are looking to appoint a lecturer in broadcast journalism to join our existing team.

Your main responsibilities will be to teach on existing and developing courses in Journalism within the School of Arts and Creative Industries. Additionally, you will be working with the Journalism Team to develop, launch and recruit new courses and will be responsible for teaching, supervision and assessment where required and as appropriate.

You will have experience in teaching and assessing within a HE environment, as well as extensive professional experience within a broadcast environment.

You will make a significant contribution to the development of a portfolio of journalism courses and will understand the processes of curriculum development.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations and current professional practice is essential. Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work as a positive, contributing team member will be essential, as are well developed broadcast industry networks.
