Media Release: Glasgow employees get extra lunch time when temperature tops 18 degrees

PublicRelationsToUse

WITH reports of an increase in ‘sickies’ whenever the temperatures rise, one Glasgow employer is doing his bit to keep his team cool.

Stephen O’Neill, MD of Glasgow factoring company, Newton Property, has added an extra 15 minutes to lunch breaks whenever the temperature tops 18 degrees in Glasgow.

Commenting. Stephen says: ”Let’s be honest, Glasgow tends to get the ‘fuzzy end of the lollipop’ when it comes to heat waves, so we’ve decided – the minute the sun is out and and the temperature tops 18 degrees – our whole team of 25 people can add an extra 15 minutes to their lunch break to soak up some rays.

“Today was the first day we tried this out and the whole team love it.”
