Media Release: Labour leadership result predicted by Douglas, Nuala, Minnie and Rolli

GT 7

ON Thursday 13th August at 12.00, the result of the Labour leadership contest was predicted by a Westie, a Jack Russell and two Dachshunds.

Says a spokesperson: “The intuition of Paul, the octopus, ably demonstrated the results of football’s World Cup.

“Now, we have invited a Westie, Rolli; a Jack Russell, Douglas; and Dachsunds, Nuala and Minnie; to predict the outcome of the forthcoming Labour leadership contest.

The dogs were presented with four bowls of the gourmet range of Growling Tums food and each bowl had the illustration of each of the contenders for the Labour leadership.

RESULTS

The results were unanimous.

Douglas, the Jack Russell, was a clear winner – consuming the salmon, trout and asparagus flavour, leaving a clean bowl for Jeremy Corbyn.

Second was Minni – showing support for Yvette Cooper, with pork and apple.
