GARDEN centre bosses are planning to go all romantic for Valentine’s Day by proving that music really is the food of love.
They’re asking customers to nominate their favourite love songs and the most popular romantic tunes will be played over the sound system at Cardwell Garden Centre, Gourock during Valentine’s Day weekend.
Music fans can submit their top love song choices on the Cardwell Garden Centre’s Facebook page and one lucky person who suggests a romantic tune will win a hamper of Valentine goodies.
The centre is also preparing a special Valentine’s-themed menu for their Patio Café Bar and Restaurant on Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14.
Cardwell Garden Centre retail manager, Paul Carmichael, said: “If music be the food of love, as Shakespeare wrote, then we’ll have it in spades.
“We’re going all out to make Valentine’s weekend that bit extra special for customers. And we want people to tell us what their favourite love songs are so we can play them throughout the centre over Valentine’s Day weekend. “
“We also want to hear why a particular song means so much to them and we’re inviting everyone to come along to the garden centre to hear their favourite love songs being broadcast.
“As well as a big range of Valentine’s Day gifts on display, we’ll get everyone in a romantic mood as our chefs are coming up with some tasty Valentine treats that people will just love – if you pardon the pun.
“We really are just a bunch of romantics here at Cardwell Garden Centre!”
