RUGBY fans will get the opportunity this week to quiz a panel of rugby experts on Scotland’s chances in the upcoming Six Nations tournament at an event hosted by The Times and The Sunday Times in Edinburgh.
This Wednesday (17th January), a leading line-up of rugby pundits will give their views on the tournament and how the teams are shaping up ahead of the first week of action on Saturday 3rd February, when Scotland travel to Cardiff to kick off their campaign against Wales.
Former Scotland player and columnist for The Sunday Times Scotland, Jim Hamilton; former Scotland and British & Irish Lions rugby player, Scott Hastings – and Glasgow Warriors coach and former Scottish internationalist and British & Irish Lions player, Mike Blair – will be joined by Alasdair Reid, Scottish rugby correspondent of The Times Scotland and Mark Palmer, The Sunday Times Scotland rugby correspondent.
Guests will have the opportunity to put questions to the panel following the discussion, and a cash bar will be available before the event begins.
Magnus Llewellin, editor of The Times Scotland, said: “The Times Scotland and Sunday Times Scotland have the best rugby writing in the business, and this event features some of the most respected people in the game. It’s sure to be a great evening, and I hope it paves the way for a successful Six Nations campaign.”
The Times+ event will take place at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh at 9 Queen Street, Edinburgh, and is open to all subscribers of The Times and The Sunday Times.
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.15pm start.
Tickets are priced at £15 and can be booked by going to: https://www.mytimesplus.co.uk/events/six-nations-preview-in-edinburgh
The rugby championship will take place over seven weekends in 2018, beginning on Saturday 3rd February and finishing with a championship ‘Super Saturday’ on March 17.
