Media release: Top name for Quarriers Ladies’ Lunch

Quarriers Ladies Lunch (1)

QUARRIERS, one of Scotland’s leading social care charities, has confirmed Tom Urie will be hosting its fourth annual Ladies’ Lunch.

The event in Glasgow on Sunday 29 April will aim to beat last year’s fundraising total of £12,000 for the social care charity.

Tom Urie will be the main host of the day and will treat guests to an exclusive DJ set that’s guaranteed to get everyone on the dancefloor! Guests will also have the chance to witness the magical talents of magician, Billy Reid.

Held in the Grand Central Ballroom, ladies will receive a glass of bubbly on arrival followed by a delicious two-course meal. Guests will be in with the chance of winning top prizes in the raffle including a gin distillery tour for four at Pickerings, Edinburgh and a Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow.

All money raised will go towards the many services provided for the thousands of vulnerable children, adults and families who are supported by Quarriers each and every day. The charity supports people with disabilities, young people facing homelessness, families struggling in poverty, unpaid carers and people affected by epilepsy.

Speaking ahead of the event, Tom Urie said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of what I’ve heard is always a brilliant day at Quarriers Ladies’ Lunch. It’s a great opportunity to have a fun day out and raise money for a charity that helps so many people across Scotland.”

Alice Harper, Quarriers chief executive, said: “We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Grand Central for the fourth annual Quarriers Ladies’ Lunch – it’s shaping up to be a fantastic afternoon!”

Tickets to Quarriers Ladies’ Lunch are £40 each.
