LEADING Scottish law firm, Gillespie Macandrew, has promoted experienced charity and private client lawyer, Lianne Lodge to partner.
Lianne joined Gillespie Macandrew as an associate in 2014, and joined the firm’s training academy.
Over the past two years Lianne has spearheaded and grown the firm’s charity offering and is ranked as an associate to watch in Chambers and Partners.
Lianne manages a range of charity and private client work, and is a regular speaker on both topics.
With a real interest in giving tailored and pragmatic advice to elderly or vulnerable clients and their families, Lianne co-authored the legal textbook, ‘The Elderly Client: A Practical Guide’, and authored the private client chapters of ‘Scottish Older Client Law Service’ Bloomsbury publication.
She is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Edinburgh Care Forum.
CEO, Robert Graham-Campbell, commented: “We are thrilled to appoint Lianne to partner. This is a thoroughly-deserved promotion in recognition of her hard work growing our charity division over the past two years, and her input on our private client team. Lianne provides an incredibly knowledgeable approach for our clients and has a real talent for understanding their needs, particularly those who require additional support.”
Lianne adds: “I’m pleased to join the partnership at Gillespie Macandrew and excited about the future. The firm is going from strength to strength and I look forward to continuing to work with colleagues to help provide support and advice to our clients.”
Gillespie Macandrew advises clients in land and rural affairs, energy and private client including tax, and has a growing presence in charity and not for profit, commercial property and corporate business markets.
With offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, Gillespie Macandrew serves clients from across Scotland and the UK and combines a personal approach alongside sectoral expertise.

Notes for editors:
Gillespie Macandrew is a leading independent Scottish law firm providing legal services to businesses and individuals and their families.
The firm has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth and advises on all areas of commercial, private client and property law as well as disputes and tax matters.
Gillespie Macandrew puts a particular focus on the training and expertise of its people and over the last five years the headcount has grown by over 50 per cent to 146, all through organic growth. This is also due to the training academy for staff which has seen five promoted to partnership since it began.
In the year to March 2018, the firm reported its sixth year of positive growth with an almost six per cent rise in turnover and eight per cent growth in profit.
Partners in Gillespie Macandrew donate one per cent of their pre-tax profits to charity every year – the total donated over the past three years is £80,000.
Staff at Gillespie Macandrew are given a paid day off each year to participate in charitable or corporate and social responsibility events and the firm’s partners and staff spent almost 200 ‘person-days’ working with Rossie Young People’s’ Trust, near Montrose, in the past four years.
