PublicRelationsToUse

DYNAMIC Earth is taking visitors a giant leap back 50 years to the Apollo moon landings with a weekend of celebration, inspiration and excitement from 19-22 July 2019.

A special range of activities, ‘Destination Moon’, will take place over four days with something for everyone, even those who remember the event itself.

From Friday to Monday, keen space explorers can watch explosive rocket launches, zoom across the lunar surface on a VR moon buggy and even create their own astronaut mission patch badge to take home. The weekend offers a wonderful opportunity for younger visitors to learn the epic story of humanity’s first interstellar voyage, through interactive and fun family activities and demos.

A highlight will be drinks and popcorn in Dynamic Earth’s renowned ShowDome cinema to experience the original moon landings in spectacular 360⁰ with brand new movie, CAPCOM GO!

This amazing film is an immersive, historical documentary that showcases the achievements of the Apollo program and what it took to put the first human on the Moon.

Parents and grandparents who remember the landings themselves will be transported right back to the tensions and excitement of the summer of 1969.

Commenting on the Destination Moon weekend, Eilidh Massie, marketing director, said: “Throughout the summer, we will be giving our visitors the chance to explore space and learn about the moon landings and this weekend is a special highlight for us, as it marks the actual anniversary.  The CAPCOM GO! film is a thrilling experience of the moon landings and will inspire a whole new generation of astronauts!”

‘Destination Moon’ will run daily from Friday, 19 July 2019 until Monday, 22 July 2019 10:00am

More information on all the events and activities is available on the Dynamic Earth website: www.dynamicearth.co.uk
