LUXURY Edinburgh venue, Dundas Castle, is launching a new offering for the staycation market, with the launch of three countryside retreats on the estate.

Nestled within the spectacular grounds of Dundas Castle, the three lodges are available for self-catering accommodation for the first time.

Visitors can choose between the cosy, one-bed North Lodge; two-bed White Lodge with its stunning views; and the luxurious three-bed, Cherry Tree Lodge.

Ideal for couples, North Lodge is available from £175 per night and can sleep a maximum of two people. The former gatehouse of Dundas Castle Estate, North Lodge, is a tastefully decorated and furnished period cottage, with its own secluded garden, great access and private parking.

Situated within its own spacious garden at the Northern entrance to the Dundas Castle Estate, White Lodge boasts incredible views of the three Forth bridges.

The cottage comprises two bedrooms, a fully-fitted kitchen and cosy lounge, and is available from £210 per night.

With space to sleep up to six, Cherry Tree Lodge is the perfect location to reunite with friends or family, from £450 per night.

A large, fully-fitted kitchen with central island and open plan dining and sitting room provides a sociable space for meals, while French doors allow for al fresco entertaining on the patio overlooking a secluded duck pond.

Guests can enjoy the spacious gardens to the front and rear, and a private drive with parking for up to three cars. Two bathrooms are stocked with L’Occitane toiletries, and luxury White Company linens and towels are provided.

The newly-refurbished lodges are ideally located, just a short drive or 20 minute walk to the picturesque village of South Queensferry, as well as restaurants, a local farm shop and a supermarket.

The Dundas Castle Estate is only a 25-minute drive to Edinburgh city centre and within easy reach of the historic towns of Linlithgow, Falkirk and Stirling, as well as the famous Forth Bridges – the gateway to the Highlands and St Andrews. Edinburgh Airport is just 20 minutes away.

Owner, Sir Jack Stewart Clark, said: “This new, self-catering offering is an exciting addition to the Dundas Castle Estate. Set within the beautiful grounds of the Castle, they offer a perfect retreat for those needing to get away from it all and enjoy the benefits of the surrounding countryside.

“After months of lockdowns, we’re all keen to get out and about and catch up with family and friends. Our lodges provide a home from home to do just that – with space to come together with others, as well as providing a superb base to explore Scotland.”

The cottages, which are cleaned and maintained according to Covid-19 protocols, are available to book for minimum three-night stays, via the Dundas Castle website: https://dundascastle.co.uk/cottages/.

White Lodge is available for stays from 21 May, while North Lodge and Cherry Tree Lodge can be booked from June 1.
