BAFTA Scotland has published the rules, eligibility and timeline for the BAFTA Scotland Awards in 2022.

BAFTA Scotland is also delighted to announce that this year’s Awards will return to the DoubleTree
by Hilton Glasgow Central and will be hosted by Edith Bowman alongside Sanjeev Kohli on Sunday 20 November, with the ceremony live streamed on BAFTA’s Facebook  -https://www.facebook.com/baftascotland – and YouTube -https://www.youtube.com/user/Baftaonline – channels.

BAFTA Scotland will be accepting entries until Wednesday 25 May with entrants this year required to answer whether their productions have achieved ‘albert’ certification. Now in its tenth year, ‘albert’ is the BAFTA-owned and industry-backed leading screen organisation for environmental sustainability, supporting the film and TV industry to reduce the environmental impacts of production and to create content that supports a vision for a sustainable future.

In certain categories entrants will also be asked if their entry meets the newly announced BFI Diversity Standards – Screen Scotland, underlining BAFTA’s ongoing commitment to ensuring its Awards nominations are as representative as possible.

Jude MacLaverty, director of BAFTA Scotland said: “Despite the challenges of the past few years, the film, games and television industries in Scotland have continued to innovate and creatively thrive, keeping audiences across the country both entertained and informed, and we are delighted to open entries for this year’s Awards which will recognise the achievements of the country’s outstanding creative talent.

“We are also thrilled to announce that this year our Awards ceremony will be returning to the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central and we cannot wait to celebrate the industry, the nominees and their incredible achievements in film, games and television with our Awards host Edith Bowman and Sanjeev Kohli on 20 November.”
