Media release: One, two, free – NSDesign offers key to business development

AWARD-winning eCommerce company, NSDesign, is encouraging other businesses to get into the festive spirit this year – by working for free!

The Hillington-based company is holding an official ‘work for free’ day in December, offering consultations to existing and potential customers free of charge.

It is the third year, the company has run the initiative and managing director, Gary Ennis, is calling on other businesses to get on board in order to spread the benefits of the initiative.

Ennis said: “The whole point of the ‘work for free’ day is to enable businesses to reach out to potential new customers and to give them a taste of the products and services that are on offer.

“It is also an ideal way for businesses to give their existing customers an early Christmas present – to say thank you for their loyalty and support.

“The ‘work for free’ day is also a great opportunity for networking, securing new business deals, and to build team spirit. All in all, it’s a really great fun day for everyone involved!”

Begins a spokesperson: “In 2009, NSDesign generated approximately £6,000 in paid revenue from the ‘work for free’ day, after holding one-to-one sessions with over 20 organisations from across the private, public and voluntary sectors.

“One individual who obtained a free consultation with NSDesign in 2009 was Clare McLeod, director of Intermezzo Arts, which is a company which works to improve revenue streams for art galleries and museums.”

Said Clare: “Last year, I managed to secure a spot at NSDesign’s ‘work for free’ day and left with a free blog for the Intermezzo Arts website. I had been looking to start a blog for some time, and so getting one for free was absolutely brilliant!

“Being a business director myself, I think the ‘work for free’ day is a fantastic initiative as it’s a great way to let potential clients know about the work that you do, but more importantly, it helps to cement business partnerships and develop customer loyalty.

“After experiencing the level of customer support offered by the NSDesign team, I would never dream of going anywhere else for my eCommerce needs. That just proves that working for free really does work!”

NSDesign will hold its third annual ‘work for free’ day at its office premises in Hillington Park Industrial Estate on Friday, December 17th. Requests for free eCommerce consultations are being taken by the team on a first come first served basis.
