Media release: 999 appoint new director of innovation

BRAND design agency, 999 Design, has appointed a new director of innovation – to work across its three UK offices.

Mark Beever will work with the teams in Glasgow, Manchester and London, to expand and strengthen the group’s practice approach as well as bringing creative expertise to brand, packaging, communications, web and environmental design projects.

Joining 999, Mark brings significant experience in sustainable design practice, which he will more deeply integrate within the company and on clients’ projects.

Mark commented: “I am delighted to be working to further enhance the group’s innovative culture, for the benefit of both clients and staff.

“As clients recognise the deeper impact that design can have, the briefs become increasingly challenging – making design-led innovation all the more valuable, exciting and transformational for all our clients.”

Richard Bissland, managing director of 999 Design said: “Having Mark on board will enhance 999’s skill-set. His rich experience and diverse knowledge of design practice will certainly help to complement our offering as an agency.

“As a forward thinking agency, we have always offered innovative solutions to our clients, in everything from environmentally friendly product design through to growing emerging talent.

“Mark’s appointment will help expand this thinking and ultimately we look to share our experience with the wider design community.”

In additional to the appointment of Mark Beever, 999 have promoted John Speight in the London office to the post of creative director.
