Media release: ‘The Brave Songs’ launched in Glasgow

RENOWNED Scottish singer songwriter, Charlotte Gordon-Cumming, yesterday launched her inspirational new album, ‘The Brave Songs’, in Blythswood Square Hotel, Glasgow.

‘The Brave Songs’ was inspired by a life changing food poisoning incident and by the book, ‘The Brave’, written by her award-winning author husband, Nicholas Evans.

The album which she started writing in 2008 while in New York is available to purchase from her official website and iTunes and the book. ‘The Brave’, is available from little, brown Books.

Says a spokesperson: “Music and songwriting has always been close to Charlotte’s heart having written songs for a variety of British Artists. Her song, ‘Soul Sound’, was recorded by the Sugababes and was nominated for best European single at the MTV awards in 2001.”

Charlotte said: “I was particularly excited to write an album from a book and bring the characters to life through my music and lyrics. It has been a long, hard journey of events over the last two years and I’m delighted to finally launch the album to my fans and followers in my native homeland of Scotland.

“Music has been the one constant in my life and has given me such strength in rough times, and also great moments of joy and laughter.”
