LADIES in waiting for their Big Day are being offered a free ticket to ride this weekend if they want to see around one of Scotland’s newest wedding venues – with a royal link – when Fasque House hosts a fayre for would-be brides.

Smith and Sons of Coupar Angus are putting on a free coach to Fettercairn on Sunday (March 27) for the first Fasque House Wedding Fayre to be held at the stately home since it was reopened as one of Scotland’s most prestigious venues for events.
The historic Georgian mansion, the former family home of William Gladstone – one of Britain’s most famous Prime Ministers, is to host an array of 44 companies providing everything a bride needs to organise the perfect day, from wedding planners and caterers to dress designers and transport companies.
Fasque House is one of Scotland’s most prestigious private stately homes boasting several reception rooms and bedrooms, including a self-contained four-bedroom bridal suite, over three floors and 33,500sq ft of elegant space.
Weddings and civil ceremonies can be held inside the magnificent entrance hall in front of an elegant double cantilevered staircase, believed to be the largest of its type in the UK, which is naturally lit by a giant ornate cupola.
Corinthian columns, arched doorways, decorative stucco cornices and ceiling roses adorn the reception rooms along with decorative marble or timber fireplaces and original cast-iron grates which provide a luxurious insight into the grandeur of a bygone age.
Outside the house acres of rolling lawns, peacocks, white deer and an abundance of wildlife provide an ideal romantic backdrop for wedding photographs.
A free Smith & Sons coach to Fasque House is due to leave The South Inch in Perth at 10am on Sunday 27 March and will also pick up at the Camperdown Leisure Park Dundee (opposite the front of the cinema parallel to the Kingsway) at 11.15 am and will arrive at Fasque House approximately 12.30pm.
The return bus will depart the venue at 4pm dropping off in Dundee at approximately 5.00pm and Perth another 45 minutes later.
If you are interested in catching this bus, please contact Smith & Sons Coaches on 01828 627310 to book your free ticket.
