THE ingenuity of fundraisers pulling out the stops on behalf of Comic Relief is well known, but few companies can have dreamed up such a hair-brained scheme as that of Glasgow-based Cairn Estate and Letting Agency.

That’s because last Friday’s record-breaking Red Nose Day saw game-for-a-laugh staff from the enterprising agency pull the plug on the working week to compete against each other and members of the public in motorised bath tub races around the perimeter of Glasgow’s George Square!

Zoe McClymont, operations manager at Cairn, said: “As you can see, our staff really got into the swing of things and pushed the bath tub boat out for Comic Relief. In the event we managed to raise a grand total of £300 for the charity and would like to thank all members of the public for their support!”

Cairn participants in the inaugural Comic Relief Bath Tub Races were: Casey Gibson, maintenance co-ordinator (AKA The Flash); Susan Collins, lettings manager (The Nun); Jacqueline Gray, property manager (The Ladybird) and Annie Dunlay, property manager (Minnie Mouse). Meanwhile, getting herself in soapy bubble in the bath was property manager Pamela Duffy (Andy Pandy).
