FISH Out of Water, a leading bespoke tour company for business and leisure trips, has welcomed competition winner Pablo Valcarcel, a Greenville, South Carolina resident, and his girlfriend, Meg Morgan, to Scotland for a five-star trip of a lifetime.
Mr Valcarcel won the competition broadcast on Fiona Ritchie’s NPR radio programme The Thistle & Shamrock to win an eight-day luxury trip to Scotland, including two return business-class flights, accommodation in top Scottish hotels from Edinburgh and Glasgow to the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
Produced from a studio in Dunkeld, NPR’s The Thistle & Shamrock broadcasts music from Celtic roots and beyond to public radio listeners via over 340 stations throughout the USA. A regular listener to public radio station WEPR 90.1 Greenville, Mr Valcarcel heard the competition while listening to The Thistle & Shamrock in his car.
Ann Medlock, founder of Fish Out of Water, said: “It’s great to finally meet the winners for this trip of a lifetime. Pablo and Meg are going to have an amazing experience staying in award-winning hotels, eating in Michelin star restaurants, taking in the scenery and even making a kilt with the royal family’s kilt-maker!”
The trip starts with two nights at the five-star Blythswood Square luxury spa hotel in Glasgow city centre, followed by a stay at Inverlochy Castle Hotel at Fort William and at Lady Claire Macdonald’s Kinloch Lodge on Skye.
The whirlwind tour also includes visits to Johnstons of Elgin to see how Scotland’s finest cashmere clothing is made, lunch at luxury five-star golf and spa resort hotel, Gleneagles, and a music session at Fortinghall Hotel in Aberfeldy.
Fish out of Water provides its clients with a dedicated service to find them the right activity and create a bespoke travel package around it.
