Media Release: BT Scotland director to be CSR Ambassador

BT Scotland director, Brendan Dick, today pledged to champion the environment during his year as The Prince of Wales’ ambassador for corporate responsibility in Scotland.

Dick, who leads BT’s climate change, environment and social inclusion programmes in Scotland, was named as ambassador at Scottish Business in the Community’s annual Awards for Excellence.

Announcing the award, SBC’s president, HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, cited his “genuine commitment to partnership-working and collaboration” and said he showed particular leadership in tackling climate change. He also recognised his role in delivering broadband to Scotland.

The Prince added: “Brendan is a highly regarded member of the Scottish business community and has been responsible for driving BT’s devolved corporate responsibility programme, using technology to tackle social exclusion with a range of partners. He is a natural leader who always finds time to motivate and inspire others.”

Dick, 48, said: “It’s a privilege and an honour to be appointed to this role.”
