Gavin Corbett, head of Policy at Shelter Scotland, the housing and homelessness charity, said: “We welcome the new minister’s announcement on improving conditions for those unfortunate Scots who live daily with the grim reality of fuel poverty.
“He’s right to say it’s a sobering statistic that they make up a quarter of Scottish households. And it highlights the vital need, not just for more affordable rented homes in Scotland, but also better quality, and energy efficient ones too.”
