Media Release: Rise Group boosts charities with One Day Shortlist

AS charities begin to feel the financial squeeze, along with everyone else, Rise Group, the fast-growing recruitment company exclusively dedicated to Scotland, has developed an innovative scheme which will provide the Third Sector with high-quality candidates at a cost-effective rate.

The not-for-profit initiative by Rise, part of the group’s commitment to the communities in which it operates, is called the One Day Shortlist and aims to significantly reduce charities’ unavoidable costs. It also fits nicely with parent group, Murray International Holdings’ voluntary commitments.

The scheme is open to registered fund-raising charities which need to fill vacancies quickly. The recruitment professionals on the Rise team will guarantee to produce a shortlist of four candidates within one day and arrange interviews within a week.

As a further consequence of the economic downturn, Rise is currently able to offer an excellent range of candidates in support staff functions, including finance, administration, fund-raising and human resources. Successful placement will take place in between one and five weeks.

Charities will benefit from reduced risk, costs which compare favourably with advertising rates and access to a rich and diverse pool of talent which has already been screened against the post competencies.

Rise already works alongside a number of high profile charities and is currently in talks with a number of others regarding their participation in this initiative.

Adam Gordon, director, said: “Rise teams assess 20,000 candidates and place 4,500 a year and we are crucially aware of the Third Sector’s needs and expectations.

“With reduced discretionary spending adversely affecting charitable giving across the UK, many charities are keen to seek best value and the One Day Shortlist is a practical, efficient and cost-effective avenue for them.

“It will significantly reduce their in-house administration burden and free up time and costs which can be put to more efficient use. Rise Group is delighted to be able to demonstrate once again its commitment to putting something back into the community.”
