DUNDEE seems to be an increasingly popular destination for female students from the United Arab Emirates.
The city’s Al-Maktoum Institute reports that more students than ever before applied to make the 18-day trip to Scotland for its Summer School – but only 36 were selected for this year’s School, which is now under way.
“We had a record number of applications so, clearly, the value and importance of the Institute’s Summer School is highly appreciated in the Emirates and we are very pleased about that,” said Professor Malory Nye, principal of the Institute today (July 6).
Between the Summer School and the Institute’s Academic Training Programme earlier in the year, around 260 female students from the UAE have visited he city in the past six years.
