Media Release: Shelter Scotland launches SantaCam for Christmas

SHELTER Scotland, the leading housing and homelessness charity, is today launching SantaCam, a fantastic new website which lets parents send their children a personalised Christmas video message from Santa.

Mums and dads can log onto www.santacam.org.uk where they are just a few quick and easy questions away from generating a fun video message for the kids.

Parents can then watch their child’s excitement as Santa greets them by name and talks about what they might find in their stocking on Christmas morning.

Children of all ages will be delighted when they receive a message from Santa, sent from his living room in Lapland.

Santa carries out some online research on each child’s behaviour; he then runs this information through his ‘behave-ometer’ to check and see if they have been naughty or nice (of course everyone passes!).

In return for creating a message, Shelter is asking users for a donation to support their work.

Graeme Brown, director, said: “We’re thrilled that Santa is giving up so much of his time to help Shelter this Christmas. We urge all parents and grandparents to give SantaCam a try.

“SantaCam is a really brilliant way of bringing a little bit of Christmas magic to children, while helping us to raise £1.2 million for those in desperate housing need this Christmas.

“Every penny donated to the service will go towards helping to make Christmas a happier, more secure time for hundreds of families across the country.”

To use SantaCam, visit www.santacam.org.uk where you can create a personal video message from Santa in minutes.
