HMV is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Hughes as head of Online, with immediate effect.
Sarah will head a 15-strong online content and display team within the HMV Marketing department in what is a newly-expanded role, and will report to HMV marketing director, Graham Sim.
She joins from internet retailer, Amazon, where she worked for the past five years in its media department, most recently as its head of DVD Buying. Prior to this, Sarah worked for media wholesaler Entertainment UK in a variety of commercial roles and also for high street retailer, MVC.
Sarah Hughes, HMV head of Online, comments: “I learned much during my time at Amazon and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with such a talented and dedicated group of people.
“However, the exciting opportunity presented by HMV to help further develop its online presence was one I felt I simply couldn’t miss.
