Media Release: Win a £5,000 contract to be the NTS’s photographer-in-residence

THE National Theatre of Scotland, in association with the Weekend Herald, is delighted to announce an opportunity for professional photographers across Scotland to become the National Theatre of Scotland’s first-ever photographer-in-residence.

This residency offers a unique opportunity for a professional photographer to come on board for a year with the National Theatre of Scotland, to gain exclusive access to actors, backstage activity and the touring life of the company and to contribute to the vital legacy and archive of the work of Scotland’s national theatre.

The residency will result in the photographer capturing a series of exclusive pictures.

Some of these will be published in the Weekend Herald, some will feature in publicity materials for the Company and all will subsequently form part of an exhibition to celebrate five years of the National Theatre of Scotland in 2011.

The deadline for applications is Monday 5 July 2010 and the winner will be announced Sunday 25 July 2010.
