LINK Group is proud to have been named ‘Large Housing Association of the Year’ in the 2010 Scottish Home Awards.
Link’s approach to business planning, marketing its affordable homes and customer and property care caught the eye of the judging panel.
Craig Sanderson, chief executive of Link Group, said: “We are extremely pleased to have received this recognition, particularly in view of the high calibre of the other four finalists.”
Formed in 1962, Link now reaches 10,000 people in 26 of Scotland’s 32 local authority areas. The 350-employee organisation manages and maintains a stock of 6,100 rented houses, including sheltered housing and 500 shared ownership properties. It provides factoring services to the sharing owners and to 3,000 other owner- occupiers.
Over the next five years, Link will invest £90 million to provide more than 750 new homes – for affordable rent, outright sale and sale through shared ownership and the New Supply Shared Equity Scheme.
The Scottish Home Awards was founded in 2007 to recognise excellence in the Scottish housebuilding industry.
