Media Release: Dunfermline and West Fife Local Plan examination Begins

THE Scottish Government begins the process of examination to review the unresolved objections to the Dunfermline and West Fife Local Plan this week.

Scottish Ministers have appointed Mr Dilwyn Thomas BSc(Hons) MBA MRTPI to carry out the examination of the Plan and Fife Council has provided a summary of the issues it considers should be assessed at the examination.

Additional Reporters may also be appointed to speed up the delivery of the report.

The summary of issues can be viewed on the council’s website at www.fifedirect.org.uk/westfifelocalplan or at council offices at New City House, Edgar Street, Dunfermline; Town House, Wemyssfield, Kirkcaldy and  Inverkeithing Civic Centre, Queen Street, Inverkeithing.

The plan is also available on the Council’s website and at council offices and local libraries in the Dunfermline & West Fife area.

Councillor John Beare, chair of the Planning Committee, said: “This is another significant step towards reaching the approved Local Plan. We are sending letters to everyone who submitted objections which are unresolved to let them know about the start of the examination process.”
