Media Release: New website for online business mentoring service

SCOTTISH coaching company, Borders C and C, has launched a new website for their popular online business mentoring service.

In the 12 months since Borders launched the online service, mentors have worked with over 80 small businesses to help them identify and achieve their business goals.

Mentor Kathy Welch notes: “Our mentors are experienced business people with extensive experience of starting and building new businesses.

“Many also have specialist expertise in areas such as retail, marketing, building an online presence, or staffing and employment issues.”

Kathy recognises that online mentoring isn’t for everyone but says that the response from both entrepreneurs and mentors has been overwhemingly positive.

“As they are busy launching or running businesses, they appreciate the flexibility offered by email and telephone mentoring.

“Many of our entrepreneurs have said to use that they appreciate the extra focus that online mentoring allows, while our mentors appreciate the time for reflection on both sides – this allows for a more considered approach that often enables the entrepreneur to move more quickly towards his or her goals.”

New and growing businesses can book sessions directly through the Borders website.

They can subscribe to an ongoing mentoring programme or book just one session where they can focus on a particular issue.

Kathy believes that one-off sessions are also a good way of trying out the service.

She continued: “Booking a single session allows you to get a better feel for how online mentoring works and whether it is going to suit your particular business.”
