Media Release: Web boost for the Great Outdoors

VISITORS to Scotland’s largest regional park, Clyde Muirshiel, can now plan every detail of their trip before leaving home thanks to the popular destination’s new website.

Spread over 108 square miles of the South Clyde estuary, from Greenock to West Kilbride and Lochwinnoch, Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park offers the 1.5 million visitors it attracts each year a range of outdoor activities and classes.

In order to allow potential park users to discover exactly what is on offer at Clyde Muirshiel the organisation tasked Largs resident, Gary Ennis’s eCommerce specialists, NSDesign, with developing a website which is dynamic, functional and informative.

Claire Paterson, information officer for Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, said: “Our old website was really dated and didn’t encourage people to spend any time on it, finding out about the wide range of activities on offer at Clyde Muirshiel.

“We asked NSDesign to deliver us a new website which showcased us at our best and they have certainly achieved that.

“The NSDesign team came and took a tour of the park and that firsthand experience of Clyde Muirshiel really shines through on the new website.

“Feedback from visitors has been good, with many saying that the site is easy to navigate and the information regarding our range of outdoor courses, including kayaking, is particularly helpful.

“Interaction with park users through social media has also greatly increased since the website has been improved.”

Gary Ennis, managing director of NSDesign, said: “For a visitor attraction as popular as Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park it is vitally important to communicate and engage with their target market.

“The new website we have created is streamlined and user friendly but still provides a wealth of information for those looking to find out what the park has to offer.

“As part of the support package for the park’s new website we have trained several members of staff on how to carry out the easy maintenance of the site as the activities on offer throughout the year change with the seasons.
