Media Release: Elevator gives young people a lift in business

A NEW season of networking events exclusively for young people aged 18 – 30 that are in business or would like to be, starts on Wednesday 26th October in Edinburgh.

Elevator in association with the RBS Group is a free networking club organised by The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT), catering for like minded young people who are looking to share knowledge, make new contacts and be inspired to start or grow their own business.

This week’s event will feature an introduction from the RBS Group, who are sponsoring the Elevator series in Edinburgh and Glasgow. There will also be a lively panel discussion involving six PSYBT-supported entrepreneurs who have established successful growing businesses, who will share their experiences and offer advice on how to succeed in being your own boss.

Edinburgh panelists with include: Bobby Mitchell founder of data security and recycling company, Pure Services Ltd.  Steven Sibbald, founder of Springboard Europe Ltd, an appointment setting service for business owners and sales teams located throughout the UK;  Katie-Jean Rose Simmons, founder of Miss Katie Cup Cake which specialises in quirky handmade jewellery including teapot and teacup earings made from dolls house pieces, antique stamp pendants made from cut vintage porcelain and fascinators made from 7” records; Hamish Robertson, owner of RT Franchise Ltd, a virtual IT department for small and medium sized enterprises, which now has seven franchises across the UK; Steven Adie, founder of underfloor heating specialists, Divine Heat; and Natalie Turnbull, founder of Lilly Pad Flowers a stylish and friendly florists in Edinburgh who pride themselves on their selection of rare, fresh cut flowers, foliages and plants.

Inviting all young would be entrepreneurs to attend, PSYBT Edinburgh regional manager, Grant Laidlaw said: “It’s a fun evening which gives young people the opportunity to meet and listen to other young entrepreneurs, share and benefit from their experiences in relaxed surroundings. If you are in business or want to be, then do come along and join us!”
