Media Release: i-KOS sets gold standard at DrupalCamp Scotland 2012

i-KOS, the eCommerce and Drupal specialist, has signed up as a gold sponsor in support of DrupalCamp Scotland 2012.

i-KOS’s technical director, Richard Jones, will deliver two presentations on the use of Drupal for eCommerce at the free event, which will take place at the University of Edinburgh’s Informatics Forum on 25 and 26 May.

Says a spokesperson: “DrupalCamp Scotland brings together Scottish Drupalusers and aims to introduce the platform to a new audience with a series of accessible tutorials. From simple blogs to complex web applications, Drupal is an ideal platform for building many types of websites.”

i-KOS’s specialities include eCommerce, bespoke module development, content management development and implementation, information architecture, web marketing and internet strategy.

Richard Jones joined i-KOS as technical director in 2003 and heads up all Drupal site builds and eCommerce projects.

He has worked with managing director, Myles Davidson, to build the business from a three-person web agency into a 20-strong eCommerce consultancy powered by Drupal.

Jones commented: “This is our third year at DrupalCamp Scotland and we’re proud to be a gold sponsor. Over the years, the event has gained popularity with the community and we look forward to participating every year. Drupal’s collaborative nature is what makes it so successful and that’s what DrupalCamp is all about.”

Richard Jones will be leading the following sessions at DrupalCamp Scotland 2012:

  • Friday 25 May – Drupal and eCommerce – from the simple to the complex
  • Saturday 26 May – Drupal Commerce – the product vs display conundrum and how to explain it to a customer
