BIKINI babes, Aussie surfers, Spanish senoritas and Hawaiian dancers descended on Glasgow’s busiest shopping thoroughfare this morning to mark the start of the country’s largest Holiday and Travel Exhibition, hosted by Barrhead Travel.
Tens of thousands of Scots are expected to visit the show, taking place at the SECC between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February, to snap up one of the exclusive offers available at the event.
As well as travel bargains, this year’s show will offer lots of family fun including a state of the art surfing simulator, a giant sandpit, balloon sculptors and face painters.
Free draws will take place over the three days of the show for holiday prizes including cruises and longhaul flights.
The event will also feature over 100 travel suppliers, tour operators and tourist boards from all over the world offering the latest advice on everything from car hire to Caribbean cruises.
