PRIMARY school kids in Hamilton have a chance to tell the world why their mum’s the best by nominating her in Hamilton’s best mum competition at The Regent Shopping Centre – with prize packages set to delight local mums up for grabs!

Andy Cameron, centre manager, said: “We’re inviting local school kids to draw a picture of their mum or tell us exactly why she is Hamilton’s Best Mum.

“The Regent has always been a popular destination with mum’s popping out to do the family shopping and I’m sure the competition will be hotly contested! We’re certainly anticipating a deluge of entries!”

The prize package for the overall winner is: a £100 voucher for Frankie and Benny’s; a framed portrait from Premier Photography; a voucher for Elspeth Hamilton Perfumery and a Happy Mother’s Day tin from Lush.

The runner-up will receive a prize package of: bespoke fine silver fingerprint jewellery from Casa Mia; cosmetics and a gift from Bairds; a makeover from The Body Shop and a Happy Mother’s Day tin from Lush.

And both the overall winner and runner-up will get a chance to Build a Bear at Casa Mia and receive a Thornton’s Easter egg.

Selected entries will be displayed in The Regent Centre from 12th March. Entrants can drop their picture or description in the entry box in The Regent Centre. The prize presentation will take place in The Regent Centre on Saturday 17th March at 1pm. But hurry, the closing date for entries is Saturday 10th March!

The Regent Shopping Centre lies at the heart of Hamilton town centre and has been the prime shopping destination for many years. With quality anchor tenants including Marks & Spencer, Bhs, Wilkinsons and Boots together with major names such as New Look and Evans, the centre provides a strong retail offer to a large loyal catchment population.
