Media Release: Living Dolls set to bring The Avenue’s first fashion festival to life

THE Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns will be at the centre of things for fashion on Saturday 28th April when it plays host to its first ever fashion festival extravaganza.

Hosted by radio DJ, Gina McKie, the fashion festival will feature the best in fashion from The Avenue, with three shows throughout the day at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Fashion stylist and model scout, Victoria Allison, will be on hand to give a range of insider fashion and style advice while the festival will really be brought to life by The Living Dolls.

Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: “Although we’ve often hosted static fashion shows at The Avenue, we’ve never had a fashion festival on this scale before.

“In addition to two red carpets at either end of the shopping centre, we have some surprises in store.

“For example, the festival will feature The Living Dolls – ‘mannequins’ dotted throughout the mall standing on podiums and in shop windows modelling the latest fashions available at The Avenue who will suddenly break into choreographed dance routines, lending the event an entertaining surprise element that has to be seen to be believed!”

Shoppers will also have an opportunity to win a VIP day at The Spa at Parklands, consisting of full use of all spa facilities, including: swimming pool; back, neck and shoulder massage; Elemis facial; hair cut and blow dry; manicure and pedicure, make up and a delicious lunch at Michael’s Bistro.

To enter the competition, simply pick up a form in The Avenue and answer the question: Which spa is offering a prize for the Avenue’s first fashion festival? Then pop your entry in the post box in the mall.

Participating stores at The Avenue Fashion Festival include: ASDA; a bientot; Viyella; Clarks; Next; New Look and Marks & Spencer.
