Media Release: Dynamic new social media agency for the social sector

IT is no coincidence that the word social is shared between the social sector and social media.

There is a new company that understands this more than anyone else.

Fat Frog Social Media has burst onto the scene, created by three business people with unrivaled, combined experience in both sectors.

Fat Frog’s focus is on helping the social sector understand how social media can make the biggest impact on their organisations, both internally as well as for their customers.

Says a spokesperson: “With hands-on experience of social, in all contexts, Fat Frog is the only communications company in this space with the knowledge and understanding necessary to advise social organisations every step of the way.”

Dave Loudon (DTL Creative), Ian Young (IYES e-Solutions) and Michelle Rodger (Tartan Cat Communications) spotted a gap in the market for an agency that had working knowledge of social housing and third sector organisations and their very specific communications needs.

Loudon, a former housing association executive and now a consultant to the social and third sectors, says he knows, first-hand, the challenges faced in understanding and implementing social media strategies in this unique space.

He says: “The challenges aren’t insurmountable but they need to be handled by people who have had day-to-day experience of working in third sector and social housing organisations and who have exemplary social media and communications skills.

“We realised there aren’t any agencies out there with our combined skill set, so we decided to pool our resources and create this unique offering.”
