A SCOTTISH accountancy firm has won a top accolade in this year’s 2020 Innovation Awards.
The firm, founded only two years ago by Allison Walker, of Aberdeenshire, won the award in the ‘Overall Firm of the Year’ category in the nationwide awards.
The prestigious award was one of six awards announced last week (Thursday 11th October) at 2020’s annual conference in Coventry.
Among other areas, the ‘Overall Firm of the Year’ award was judged on client focus, effectiveness and innovation, as well as competitive advantage. It was open to all small, medium and large accountancy practices throughout the UK.
Mint Accounting, which has its head office in Aberdeen, was recognised for its innovative approach to accountancy. It strives to be ‘refreshingly different’ and managing director, Allison, is delighted with the honour.
She said: “It is a huge achievement for Mint and one that I am very proud of.
“The team at Mint have worked so hard to make this happen and I am very grateful for all of their hard work.
“We take a fun and colourful approach to accountancy, which makes it more interesting for not only our clients, but for us too! It’s great to get this recognition from such a well-respected organisation.”
Earlier this year, the company opened a second office in Mauchline, Ayrshire, and is now employing a total of ten staff.
It plans to open an office in Perth next year and a further two over the next thee years.
