Media Release: Sky high buddie jumping for Epilepsy Scotland

PAISLEY dare-devil, Dawn Simpson, will para-jump in Strathaven on Saturday November 3 to raise funds for her favourite charity, Epilepsy Scotland. Dawn aged 25, who has epilepsy herself, is going to freefall 10,000 feet to help this worthwhile cause.

Plucky Dawn is no stranger to sky-high thrills having already completed a sponsored zip slide across the River Clyde for the national epilepsy charity.

This time, she will be harnassed to a professional freefall parachute instructor, raising hundreds of pounds when she comes down to earth. As a Glasgow-based AXA insurance underwriter, Dawn has calculated the health and safety requirements of the parachute dive and is excitedly looking forward to achieving one of her goals.

She said: “This is one of my lifetime ambitions. As a teenager, I made up my mind not to let epilepsy hold me back. I enjoy fundraising for a service which gives information and support to thousands of families across Scotland. My own family, friends and people at work have all been incredibly supportive. Who knows what I’ll try next, but, meantime, the sky’s the limit for epilepsy.”
