Media Release: Popular North-east home show announces 2013 dates

The Scottish Home Show 2013

A SUCCESSFUL North-east home improvements and interiors exhibition which attracted more than 8000 visitors this year is set to double in size for 2013.

Following on from the success of the inaugural Scottish Home Show in September, the organisers have announced that next year’s show is scheduled to go ahead again at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) from 27-29 September 2013.

The Scottish Home Show, in association with TradesAdvisor.com, has already secured a huge number of exhibitor bookings and sponsorship for the event, which will again showcase the latest designs in home and garden improvements and interiors.

Increasing to three days next year, TV personality and former BBC Changing Rooms presenter, Carol Smillie, is set to attend on both Saturday and Sunday.

Tommy Walsh, known for his role on gardening series Ground Force, will also appear to host regular DIY presentations throughout the weekend.

Due to increased demand for exhibitor space, the show is taking up the whole of the AECC’s main arena for next year’s show, to accommodate more visitors.

This year’s show, which attracted more than 200 exhibitors, was the first major home event to be hosted in the North-east in recent years and exceeded all visitor expectations for a first show.

Director of the Scottish Home Show 2013, Darren Ross, said: “We were overwhelmed with the success of this year’s exhibition, and next year is set to be another fantastic event to help local and national firms showcase the best products and designs available within the home improvements market.

“We have double the space available for next year to accommodate even larger numbers coming through the doors, and this will give more scope for a wider range of exhibitor stands.

“It’s a great opportunity for businesses to highlight their products and services to people interested in extending, renovating and updating their home. The additional day will also allow visitors more time to browse the fantastic exhibitor stands.”

The chosen charities for 2013 are local cancer support services CLAN, which provides support to those living with cancer and their families, and UCAN which provides vital awareness and comfort to those affected by urological cancers.

The 2013 exhibition will highlight some of the most luxurious home and garden products, innovative new technology and gadgets on the market, with a range of displays showcasing garden designs and conservatories, the latest home interior designs, kitchens, bathrooms and home technology.

The event is now open for exhibitor bookings with various space and sponsorship options available.
