ASDA at The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns raised an impressive £2,000 for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign from local shoppers last weekend at its biannual Tickled Pink fundraiser.

Claire Rennie, Community Life Champion at Asda Newton Mearns, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who dug deep into their pockets to donate funds – and to all our staff who helped raise funds through a range of activities – from our grocery colleague Audrey Loudon who shaved all her hair off for the cause and our grocery boys, who had their legs waxed!”

Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: “It seems that many of our shoppers enjoyed getting Tickled Pink last weekend and they’ve to be commended for helping Asda raise more funds for this worthy cause.”

The Avenue Shopping Centre, managed by commercial property consultancy BTWShiells, offers shoppers an alternative to sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
